Bill Winterer is a Partner of Parthenon Capital, Head of Capital Markets and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.  He has over thirty years of corporate finance, investment banking and investment experience with middle market companies.  At Parthenon, Bill is responsible for the firm’s capital market efforts which include raising capital and performing corporate finance advisory services for new investments and portfolio companies.  In addition, he develops and manages relationships with deal intermediaries, investment banks and financing sources.  He also serves on select portfolio company boards.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Parthenon in 2003, Bill was a senior member of FleetBoston’s (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch) leverage finance practice and involved in all aspects of the business including sponsor coverage, private placements, mezzanine finance, high yield capital markets and loan syndications.  He began his career at KPMG in New York City where he held multiple positions in both Audit and M&A Advisory practices.

In the course of his career, Bill has structured and arranged over $50 billion of senior and junior debt capital for middle market clients in the public and private markets via both bank and bond executions.  He has extensive experience in the secondary debt markets and has negotiated and executed numerous amendments, tender offers, restructurings and bankruptcies as both a principal and an advisor.

EDUCATION

Bill has a B.A. from Williams College, an M.B.A. from New York University, and was qualified as a Certified Public Accountant.
